Nourrir la motivation, la prise d'initiative et la créativité des étudiant.e.s

Piard, Jonathan (ENS Paris-Saclay) ; Méallet-Renault, Rachel (Université Paris Sud)

Abstract: Pedagogical innovations have been implemented for practical labwork given in chemistry jointly operated by ENS Paris Saclay and Paris-South University within the Master’s degree in chemistry of Paris-Saclay University. The challenge is to change the way in which both students and teaching teams are exposed to practical works. A new approach based on reinvented evaluation methods is detailed in order to use new communication tools and current learning abilities of the students. A scientific poster, an article, a video, a website or an oral presentation replace classical written reports. Students and teachers are then involved in an interactive and iterative reviewing of these works. Investigation, initiative and creativity are also promoted through this new approach. Such training is an initiation to research and project management
